Participate in the MERLOT community to develop a resource for educators to describe and index a searchable database of Learning Materials in Second Life.
There are three levels of participation - you are welcome to join in at any, or all of these:
- All users may nominate Learning Materials by either using inworld tools (coming soon) or entering them directly on the SaLamander Wiki beijing massage
- Educators and students may get more involved and be a part of the development of the Taxonomy of 3D Learning Materials in SL by registering with the SaLamander Project [1] and rapidshare download
- voting on nominated Learning Materials;
- making comments on and editing descriptions made in the wiki to-date;and rapidshare download
- engaging in dialog about the utility of tools, places, and innovations.
- Universities, businesses, non-profits, and other organizations that wish to participate in the vetting process of selecting Learning Materials, more formal analysis, research and dissemination of 3D Learning Materials theory and practice, please consider joining as a MERLOT partner.
